I’ve had a few severe head colds this winter, and this is by far the best thing that I have used. I’ve tried many different syrups, pills, drops, etc from various brands, and this has been by far the most effective. The taste is pleasant – it’s nice to have something other than the ordinary cherry, grape, or dreaded black licorice flavors – and I like the addition of Vicks, too. It also kicks in quickly and, though it doesn’t always last the full four hours between doses, it does seem to last a lot longer than the ordinary cold syrup. This has really helped me get through the day a lot simpler, and will certainly be my initially choice for head colds from now on. If you’re looking for something to really help with severe congestion and, as a result of that, phlegm and mucus increase in the throat, certainly give this a try.
