Battery died after less than 5 uses. It takes a CR1225 battery which for whatever reason seems to be the one size of button cell battery NOT commonly found in stores (CVS, Target, Fry’s, Walgreens, etc)

Look at the other reviews, all 1 star ratings… this thermometer is a piece of junk. The readings are inconsistent and inaccurate

I like the visual readout of this, really a super design. Too terrible that the main gathering of this thermometer(taking temperatures) was NOT well designed. It always reads very low, but not always the same. It would be one thing if you knew that you always needed to add 2 degrees to be accurate, but sometimes 2 sometimes 3. Not what you want to be worrying about when you have a sick child. Too terrible. Buy something else.

Basically all of our family can use this thermometer and get 3 different temperatures that range in over 5 degrees. The initially reading is the most accurate, then it will start reading 92 degrees for people clearly with a fever.
It could be making random temperatures for all I know. I was buying this to replace another digital that always read too low. This one is worse.

This thermometer isn’t accurate at all. It says 96.2 and then it says 98 and then it says 97.3. Either my temperature changes dramatically every few seconds or this is a horrendous thermometer. This is perilous because it could mislead you as to what you temperature is when you are really sick. I could have swine flu aptly now as on of my friends just found out he has it and I don’t know if I have a fever because my thermometer is a piece of garbage. Never buy this.
