Product Description
Cool Mist action for relief of cold and flu symptoms, pure natural moisture through cool mist wicking filter.Amazon.com
When cold and flu season strikes, it’s time to take this cool mist humidifier out of the closet. The humidifier provides healthful vapor that can help relieve the dehydrating symptoms brought on by colds and the flu, helping nasal passages breathe easily again and easing the irritation of coughs and sore throats. It offers a wonderful alternative therapy for children, persons who prefer not to take over-the-counter medications, and persons who can’t take decongestants due to pregnancy or incompatibility with other medications. This low-noise humidifier also takes preventative measures against colds by putting enough damp in the air to combat the dryness caused by many heating systems. The damp moistens the respiratory system and helps it to really struggle off viruses, bacteria, and pollutants.
The translucent water tank is simple to fill and monitor and outputs about 1.2 gallons of moist air into the room–enough for 18 hours of continuous use on one filling. Impurities or mineral deposits in the water are spellbound in an antibacterial wicking filter so vapor is pure and is emitted without any colorless dust. When the tank is empty, it really drains without leave-taking any potentially bacteria-laden permanent water in the bottom. Two settings–high and low–let you adjust the damp level to the appropriate room size or moisture level and Vicks’s special “evaporative equipment” also kicks in to ensure that rooms maintain the proper moisture level and are not overly moist. This humidifier has a dishwasher-safe tray for hygienic cleaning and is covered by a three-year warranty. –Cristina Vaamonde

I bought this humidifier to combat the dry air in the bedroom. I read all the directions, filled it up and twisted it on. The water gushed out of the bottom and soaked the carpet. Don’t buy this!

I know that a humidifier is for winter when the heat is on. But, I have had a congested head for 2 months. This humidifier is fantastic. It really helps me sleep at night.

It states cool mist, there is no mist to speak or feel of, coming out of this unit. It’s just like a tiny exspensive fan, that will evaporate the water from the tank. Yes, it does the job of humidifying but, there is no mist at all. I wish I could keep this product but, I wil buy another of my ancient humidifiers. Hope this helps, there is no moisture coming out of the air vent. I’m a huge amazon consumer but, not pleased with this product and this will be my initially return to amazon.

I have just bought this humidifier and was unpleasantly bowled over with one of its design features that twisted out to be a let down for me. When I was carrying the unit into another room to plug it in, suddenly water started pouring down from the unit’s bottom. There is a hole there which is understood to be made just for that – to let excess water out in order to protect the motor. I’ve looked inside to find out that the fake water tray has walls which protrude only a small bit above the water level. Even a small movement must have bounced the water enough for it to go over the edges as I was walking. If only the tray walls were an inch or so taller, one wouldn’t end up panicking over a growing puddle in the middle of their floor. I realize but that the manufacture would refer for us not to go their humidifiers around so that we had to buy more of their products to place in each room, but I personally wouldn’t want to choose to have a load of humidifiers all over the place.

bought this last year. Tried it on a sick coughing kid. Never had to refil the tank. Tried it again last night. Water level didn’t drop at all after in succession it for 15 hours. Now I realize why I never filled the tank last time. It doesn’t place out any water.
