I just started using this humidifier and like the thought of using a water pot filled with distilled water. I keep it on my nightstand for damp while I sleep and it works fantastic for this purpose. But, the blue light is so bright that it’s keeping me up at night and I’m going to return it because of this. I want to have known about this light before I wasted my time and money purchasing it.

I travel for business to very dry areas. This is small and light enough to fit in my luggage. Its not very strong, but on my initially trip to Las Vegas, it did a fine job in a medium size hotel room on high setting. Its perfect for my small enclosed office on low setting.
I was bowled over by a couple of things. Ignorantly, I’d never seen a cool mist humidifier and I now prefer it. The blue light wasn’t small; it lights up the entire spout.

I’ve been using the Air-O-Swiss on my desk at work for a few weeks now. At initially I was impressed by how silent the humidifier ran. I empty the water every night and dry out the parts but the last few times I’ve used it, there is an annoying hum that comes and goes. For the amount of money I paid for the humidifier I would expect it to be flawless for more than a week. I wouldn’t mind if it weren’t for the cost.

I travel for a living and it used to be hard to find travel humidifiers (my before one was so hard and huge, it never made a trip). Normally I resort to in succession a hot, steamy shower to add damp to a hotel room but that is no longer eco-friendly. But, I bought this after waking up in Breckenride, CO (winter) with my eyelids stuck to my eyeballs and my nose in undescribeable pain. It is expensive, but works like a charm. If you place it on minimum, it will run through the night. If you place it on half strength, it will run out of water in the early am. I got up and refilled, then place on max, and my pad was abstractedly damp when I awoke–but that’s OK! Simple to clean. I’ve only used it three days, so I can’t testify to it’s longevity yet. I would recommend to a friend. Comes with a travel bag and converter plug, with is a nice touch.
