The product arrived on time in exceptional condition. I can’t wait to try it out on our upcoming cruise to see if it works on preventing sea sickness.

Around January 2007, newspaper readers in the Houston area read an article claiming that the Sea Band was not only helpful for sea sickness, but also for sleep tribulations. It is not, doesn’t make the slightest difference. I know, I tried it. I don’t know about motion sickness, but don’t buy it for help with sleep tribulations.

I recently learned about this aid for sea sickness. I was then told it could help with insomnia. I never felt queasy. Maybe it would have worked for that, but it did nothing for my inability to sleep. I can’t tell you if it works for motion sickness? I did find it unconfortable to sleep in. It did leave rings on my wrists. They were too tight.

I get motion-sickness when taking my eyes off the road for an extended period of time, on many amusement park rides and on flights with a turbulent descent. Dramamine has worked in the past but even a half dose makes me very drowsy. I tried Sea-Bands for the initially time on a flight and did not get sick, but I am not sure whether to attribute this to the product or the relatively charming flight. But, I had an AWFUL experience using them on a recent ocean fishing outing. When our guide transported us from one fishing spot to another, I had to hold on tight to keep from being thrown off my seat. I believe that the combination of my gripping and the difficulty from the Sea-Bands resulted in a drastic restriction of blood flow to my hands. When the boat stopped and I let go, I found that I could not go my hands from the clenching position, all fingers pointing inwards, for about 5 minutes. What’s more, there was EXTREME tightness/pins-and-needles in my stomach and face. My lips tightened up to the point that I could barely talk. And, I’m not exaggerating here, I honestly plotting for a moment that I was going to die. Somehow I was able to pry the Sea-Bands from my wrists but by then it was too late. I vomited and immediately accepted an place forward to be dropped off so that the rest of the party could delight in the fishing trip. I am a small bowled over that mine is the only negative review yet for this product when it comes to sea-sickness. I would warn anyone engaging in any kind of strenuous activity to use an alternative remedy.
