Picked this up for $2.00. It is basic, but digital, does the job. Excellent to keep around as a spare to my $50 ear thermometer.

I am pretty confident that nothing off this unit is a choking hazard. And, it is unlikely you would insert it too far. Excellent price. Pretty quick. I don’t reckon I would like it as much as an adult thermometer.

I have a three year ancient who recently had a fever for a week. We had a thermometer we’ve used since he was born and take rectal temperatures since they are the most accurate. Our ancient thermometer had a ridge you had to stop at when inserting the thermometer. usually this isn’t a problem but our son got very upset after a few days of taking his temperature and it was hard to keep the thermometer in at the right place. We bought this thermometer during his illness and it made a real difference. The handle gets very wide and you insert the thermometer up to this area. There’s no guessing and is simple to use on a wiggling kid. It was accurate, quick and simple to use.
