My bathtub is in need of renovate, and due to that, there’s some out of the ordinary requirements for where and how you can step or stand without endangering yourself. Although I don’t have any normal balance tribulations, I’ve had serious tribulations maneuvering in and out of my shower without depending on the soap dish bar and curtain rod and leaping out and actual risk to myself.
I saw this thing and plotting for the price it was worth trying. I place it on the top side of the bathtub, aptly in the middle. It sticks well so far, after about a month. I really place a fantastic deal of weight on it, but note I am putting it mostly straight down on it — not in a sideways pulling which would probably go it. It has made getting in and out of the shower clad and no longer perilous, thankfully!
I would reckon if you were buying something to go on the wall, you should buy something that can be literally affixed with screws. Or be sure and place it somewhere that when the self puts any real weight on it, it’s simply ‘against’ it rather than pulling it sideways, which is the weak point in any ’suction’ based item. It’s working well for me.

Works as well as others of this type. Only downside : Product marketing blurb does not indicate what size tiles grab bar cannot be used with.

Works fantastic in the tub as a handle. Very established and just the aptly size. Had a small vex at initially because I incorrectly positioned one of the suction cups over a line in the tile. Once I repositioned it, it worked fantastic. Will buy more to place in other areas where my mother needs help getting up.

This thing works very well for me, I read the other reviewers having vex with suction on tile, but obviously you need a charming surface for the suction cup. In other words, do not expect the suction cup to work over a grout line. Exceptional suction and grip strength!
