I am a long distance runner and train 5 days a week with long distance racing on weekends. My in succession shoes have to go through a lot and I naturally sweat a lot in my shoes. When I saw this product I took the plunge and bought it. I am an engineer and had no problem understanding what a 3 W ultra violet light source will do to bacteria during a 1h treatment. And I knew the connection between bacteria and odor. The cool thing was when I tried it on several of my older pairs of in succession shoes. The shoe tree exceeded my expectations. Where it did not seem low-cost to me at initially I now reckon that it only expenditure as much as 1 pair of new shoes and it extends the life of my shoes. And the product seems very well build so that I am confident that the sterilizer will last a long time.

I guess I am a self that is more concerned with hygiene than others. And there was never a way to keep your shoes clean and germ free like the Sterishoe. I have been using it since last September and like it. It works as a fantastic shoe tree. And my husband uses my Sterishoe now on this work boots. He simply stuffs a pair of socks in the back of his boots to make my M size shoe tree fit into his boots. That has saved us another $130.

I do a lot of sports and was looking for a way to keep the inside of my shoes clean. I also was looking for a preventive measure for toe nail fungus as I spend time in the gym and my boxing club. The Sterishoe does exactly what it says it does and has worked well for me. It also prevents shoe odor from my experience.

I have been using this product since July 2009 and it has worked fantastic for me.
The Sterishoe functions like a normal shoe tree. The difference is that the UV germicidal light emitted from a UV light bulb in the front of the device kills all bacteria and microbes in your shoe. Reducing bacteria and microbes automatically leads to less shoe odor. I noticed the largest effect on some of my older pairs of shoes.
I bought my pair at a local DPM practice and would vastly recommend the Sterishoe product.
