I bought this item for my peace of mind, but I was deeply disappointed to find a 2 mhz probe when I ordered a 3 mhz probe. I contacted the seller they credited me the difference of $12 between the probes, but, their page says heart beat can be detected at 8-10 weeks, sorry to say I am 14 weeks but still powerless to detect any heart beat even when its there on a different doppler.
When I contact them for a return/refund they come back saying “we cannot help you!!!!!”.
They are cheating!!!, selling the incorrect product that does’nt even work. I would try my best to let every one know not to buy through them.

WELL WORTH IT – Fantastic for peace of mind in between OB visits! Surpass than expected for picking up the sound (I was bowled over that I was able to hear a h/b at only 7.5 wks). Inaccurate bpm readings so far though. At 10 weeks, I’ve been getting a range from 110-140 which concerned me but my recent Dr. visit revealed a 167 bpm fhr which is more accurate. This could be due to the fact that it’s still too early to ideally use the doppler, as the brochure recommends using at 12wks…I’m just an impatient worry wort!

Initially of all, the company has incredibly quick shipping. It only took 3 days to receive with ground shipping and I’m on the other coast. Secondly the unit works extremely well. It is simple to use and displays the right FHR (fetal heart rate) aptly on the monitor.
I’m only 10 weeks pregnant. It did take me about 1/2 an hour to find my babies heartbeat and I did have to push honestly hard, but, after I found it once, it was simple, time and time again. The sound was crystal clear and the show simple to read. 174 beats per minute, music to a mommy’s ears!
This is soooo worth the money. It serves to keep my stress and worry to a minimum and it’s also just wonderful for my 5 year ancient son and myself to be able to listen to our new baby and provides yet another way for us all to bond.
My only suggestion is to buy a larger pot of the gel. The pot that comes with it, is just a starter pot and is very small, it won’t last very long, so, save yourself the extra shipping and order the larger pot of get at the same time!

Recieved the doppler quick and found the heartbeat immediately at 12 wks! Would recommend to anyone!

I bought this doppler for peace of mind after having missed miscarriage a few months ago. I figured I could use it from about 10 weeks until I can feel the baby start to go. When I received it, I was 9w 3d and couldn’t find the heartbeat after searching for 20 minutes. Although the FHR read 125, it was my own (hint: if you reckon you’ve found the heartbeat, place your fiddle with on your pulse and if it matches, then it’s yours, not the baby’s). I tried it again this morning at 9w 6d with a full bladder and found it surrounded by 30 seconds. It was very low…just above my pubic bone. Music to my ears…heart rate was 160-170. This is certainly worth the money. Even with just hearing it once, it was the best $62 I’ve ever spent!!!
