After doing a bit of research on my own, I chose to go ahead with the tried and right alcohol based products. Apparently, Benzalkonium Chloride is toxic in certain forms. One website even stated that it can cause birth defects! I can’t tell you for sure that this product isn’t safe or isn’t any excellent, but I know that it’s not worth the risk. After all the recalls lately, I’ve surely learned that things aren’t safe just because they are touted to be.

I have MCS (Manifold Chemical Sensitivity) which means I get very sick from fragranced products and many other common chemicals and products. Soapopular met all my needs: It’s cologne-free, it’s 99.9% effective against germs, and it doesn’t require water so I can take it in the car and use it other times when I don’t have a sink handy (for occasion, I also keep a pot in my living room for cleaning my hands after petting my pets, to reduce my pet allergies).
Originally, I found Soapopular at my local Walmart. I bought many bottles there and used it for six months or a year, but then WM no longer carried it; so I found and ordered the Soapopular 6-pack here on Amazon!

This is a fantastic product, but, it did seem to leave your hands with a small bit of residue. I prefer handclens.

I was dissapointed with the residue with this product. I have tried several of these alcohol-free sanitizers and prefer the HandClens brand as it has the nicest scent and feel to it.

I looked through several brands and types of hand sanitizer before buying this and I’m pleased with it. There aren’t many choices of alcohol free sanitizer.
We keep the bottles near every diaper changing station in the house (we have several kids in diapers) as well as a pot at work. Even our toddlers seem to like using it. I’ll certainly buy it again.
