Senokot tablets with a stool softener are wonderful when you’re just not “regular.” I have used these in the past week because my new course of chemotherapy leaves me “irregular.” The tablets go down simple enough; and of course I would use these before the expiration date printed on the pot.
Senokot works well to help you use the restroom without any real cramping or discomfort, at least in my case. They are very useful for me. In addition, these pills are both sugar-free and low in sodium.
But, there is a number of cautions about the drug. Amazon notes above: “Do not use if you are taking mineral oil, unless directed by a doctor; laxative products for longer than 1 week unless directed by a doctor. Question a doctor before use if you have stomach pain; nausea; vomiting; noticed a sudden change in bowel habits that lasts over 2 weeks. Stop use and question a doctor if you have rectal bleeding or fail to have a bowel movement after use of a laxative. These may indicate a serious condition. If pregnant or breast-feeding, question a shape professional before use. Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center aptly away. Do not use if imprinted seal under cap is gone or hurt.”
Man, that’s a lot of precautions! Be careful before taking Senokot; you may want to question your doctor about it before you choose this brand of stool softener.
Overall, for me at least, I am surpass off taking these pills. I recommend this for the majority of people as long as they read the directions carefully and consult a doctor initially if they have any questions or concerns about Senokot.
