Our NOVA 330B, 19″ Transport Chair is designed to provide simple, lightweight patient transport. 12″ rear wheels provide a more comfortable ride. It has a Back Pocket with Velcro Cover and Contoured rear push handles for added comfort. The comfortable padded upholstery and arm pads are reinforced to preclude stretching or ripping. Hand Brakes provide optimum safety and control. For added safety a seat belt is included and each chair is equipped with locking rear wheels. The lightweight aluminum frame (24lbs.) makes loading simpler. The quick-release, fold-down back allows the chair to fit compactly into small areas. It has fixed full-length arms and non-skid footplates with heel loops. All chairs have comes off swing-away footrests and a limited lifetime warranty on the frame.

I’ve taken my mother EVERYWHERE in this chair and we have had a lot of fun that would be impracticable without it. Like the large back wheels, the handbrakes, the manueverablity, light weight, foldability. And best of all, MOM LOVES GOING OUT IN IT. After 5 years of use, the brakes are wearing out, but I’d buy another one.

I used the chair to transport my wife during a vacation in europe. Lots of cobble marble streets and uneven sidewalks. The chair survived and so did my wife. I vastly reccomed this chair.

This chair was exactly as described. The hand brakes are particularly useful for persons living in hilly areas. I’d never buy a chair intended for outside use without them. I didn’t especially like the straps and pegs on the footrests. I is hard to get stiff legs onto the footrests, but they are easily removed.

I am glad I did not pay any more then I did for this chair. It is adequate for our needs but when it arrived I had to struggle for quite a while to get it pulled apart to open it the initially time and shortly after that the aptly brake assembly literally went BOING! The clamp moving around has stripped the paint in that area besides marring the aluminum tubing. I had to attempt to renovate it myself and it is still not 100%. One handle also will not fold completely back without a fantastic deal of difficulty so it isn’t quite as compact and I am concerned about further hurt to the chair itself. The comes off footrests are nice but I can not adjust them so luckily they were at the length we needed coming out of the box. The chair when folded will fit in the stem of a Civic but I’m worried getting it in the backseat will either be impracticable or another struggle. It does handle honestly well on uneven sidewalks and seems to be honestly comfortable. The straps on the footrest are a nice thought but do not stay on their posts so you either have to leave them dangling or keep stopping to place them back. If they added anything to this chair I would suggest a strap or something to “lock” it in the folded position for getting it in and out of a stem. I wish I could have rated this higher then a 3 but there were to many petty annoyances aptly off the bat to rate it any higher. I would recommend it but not wholeheartedly.

I like the fact that this chair doesn’t have persons huge wheels where my clothing always gets caught! Of course, I don’t wheel myself, I always have someone to push me, but if you don’t need the large wheels to operate the chair yourself, this is a fantastic chair. It’s also quite comfortable.
