I have a 4 year ancient daughter and she is a frequent nosebleed sufferer on both sides. Luckily, the bleeds have all been anterior, so she has never required a pack, but we have had a few trips to the ER to get them under control. Her bleeds typically last between 20-45 minutes and they typically come on at night. Regularly because she is small, she swallows the blood and gets sick to her stomach an hour or so later with devastating consequences (I won’t go into detail, but it is horrifying).
We consulted several pediatricians about Nosebleed QR and none of them had heard of it, but since the directions indicated that it was safe for use with children, they approved us to give it a shot. We tried Nosebleed QR for the initially time and the consequences were fantastic.
She started the bleed at about 5am and we had told her about her new “nose stick” that we would use the next time she got a bleed. We showed it to her ahead of time to ensure that it wouldn’t be too scary when we applied it. She has been so courageous for her before bleeds, and she did not resist the insertion of the applicator. Being only 4, her nostril and anterior nasal opening is rather small, so the powder tended to scrape off the applicator around the edge of her nose, clumping rapidly. The instructions said that another application may be necessary, so we pinched her nose and then applied another applicator full of powder while she was still bleeding.
She only complained of minor discomfort when we applied it, and I was sure to insert it enough to get to the bleed site, and then we pinched her nose again. The instructions said to hold for 15 seconds, so I relieved difficulty at that interval and she was still gushing. I repinched and held for another 2 minutes. What we found after that was that her entire nostril had one of the artificial scabs finishing it off and the bleeding had stopped. She was no longer swallowing the blood and there was no indication of further bleeding. I was simply amazed at how effective this product was in stopping this nosebleed for my daughter in such a small period of time.
I don’t know if it is typical that the entire nasal passage is blocked off by a scab, but it is probably due to her having a small nose and nostrils at her age. We waited 2 hours (she fell back asleep) before attempting clean-up, wich was simple, using Q-tips and warm water.
I am convinced that if we had used our typical measures of difficulty, pinch, and time that she would gotten sick from swallowing the blood, and that did not happen due to the immediate consequences of Nosebleed QR. I will be submitting our tale to our pediatrician so they can let other parents know about this product and recommend its use. We have been considering cauterization of both nasal passages for our four daughter, but now that we have Nosebleed QR, we feel that procedure can wait and we will only proceed with it if absolutely necessary.

From someone who suffers from cronic nosebleeds, this not only stopped by nosebleed, but after using the product only twice, I haven’t sufferred a nosebleed in months!!! Simple and simple to apply
