I really bought this for my dog. I couldnt find it at my local discount store/pharmacy so I had a huge Amazon buy and added it. Downside was it was only unfilled as 4pk but shipping was free and I couldnt find it locally.

the ingredients in this product are fantastic. the aerosol spray container is not. If it was non-aerosol it would be much surpass so it would splatter when you press the button.

I prefer Johnson & Johnson’s liquid bandaid over this product by far, but recently it has be converted into very hard to find locally. As a result, I bought this product at my local store. Not a fantastic go on my part.
When you have a small cut or scrape that isn’t easily taken care of with a traditional bandage/bandaid the liquid is the way to go. These liquid products are fantastic at keeping irritation out and sealing in the wound to heal.
I prefer the J&J product because the application is more precise (not a spray) and the application doesn’t hurt at all. This New-Skin product stings more than I could have ever anticipated. The pain shot up through my entire hand and down my fingers. In all it probably lasted close to 2 minutes before it passed. The pain was akin to having needles stuck into the cut and wiggled around. I’m dreading having to reapply this stuff, but it does grow to seal the area well.
Since using this product once, I’ve come on here to Amazon.com and found the Johnson and Johnson product and have ordered that to replace the New-Skin aerosol spray.

As of this writing, I have a small cut/crack on the skin of my fiddle with, in an area where normal bandages don’t stay on very well due to flexing and rubbing. So I plotting I’d try using a spray bandage, and this was the product I chose on.
The excellent news is that it really works pretty well. The bandage has helped to hold the wound closed, and has really helped preclude the skin bottom from drying out, part of the reason why it cracked to start with. After a day, it’s still in place and seems pretty durable. It’s completely transparent, which might be nice or might be a downside if the wound is unpleasant to look at. Functionally, it seems to live up to its advertising pretty well.
I’d really recommend the product, apart from for the one small detail about really applying it to hurt skin. I washed and dried my hand carefully, and then surrounded by about a second of spraying it on, I was enduring a searing agony I have not before experienced from a consumer initially-aid product. While gritting my teeth like an epileptic, I literally stared at my hand with my eyes wide open, nearly chanting in a mantra to reassure myself that my fiddle with was not really being slowly hacked off with a pruning saw. This sensation gradually abated over a period of about 2 minutes. I sprayed on a second coat about an hour later thinking the initially coat would protect me from a repeat of the experience, but of course I was incorrect.
The packaging makes the claim that this product is useful “for larger areas” — a proclamation which given my experience with a small cut on my fiddle with, reveals to me a level of bold sadism I can’t readily comprehend.
One the makings use for this — when doing really dirty or greasy work, it seems worth experimenting to see if this substance would allow for more easily or completely getting one’s hands clean. Spray on rubber gloves if you will. I’m going to give that a shot tomorrow.

I cut my thumb on a mandoline slicing onions. A terrible cut, won’t go into the horrid fine points, I probably should have gotten a stitch or two. Any way … I used New-Skin spray on the cut the next day as I had it bandaged the initially night tightly to stop the bleeding. I have NEVER had a cut heal so quickly. I was amazed!!! I burns like fire when you initially place it on but the pain goes away quickly, so warn the children initially. I place some on some scratches on my arm and they healed aptly away also. I like this product and will always keep some on hand.
