For nearly ten years I have been wearing a nasal mask connected to a CPAP machine at night because of sleep apnea. I received my Legend Medical’s CPAP mask about two months ago, and found it to be the most comfortable one I have ever worn.
Although the Legend unit looks to be very similar to the far more expensive nasal masks I have replaced over the years, its facial seal is far surpass. The headgear that comes with the Legend nasal mask is much stronger and more bendable than the flimsy straps provided with their competitor’s units, and I am now able to sleep on my side after many years of sleeping only flat on my back.
A particularly nice feature of this nasal mask is that it is very simple to completely disassemble for cleaning. I have thrown away other nasal masks because mold grew in inaccessible crevices that could not be cleaned between the permanently assembled hard fake parts. The Legend nasal mask has a soft and bendable forehead cushion instead of the sticky jelly-like bumper on their competitor’s unit. Persons bumpers would leave a mark on my forehead that would take an hour or so to disappear each morning, and after only a couple of months the bumpers would turn into a sticky, gooey substance that needed replacing at the exorbitant cost of about eight dollars each!
The facial seal of my before nasal mask disintegrated into small pieces when I place it on one night, making the mask completely unusable. Although it was a weekend evening, I immediately ordered the Legend Medical mask over the internet and received it on Tuesday morning without even having to pay for expedited shipping!
