The light and radio works exactly as described. I bought two so I can have one in my car and one at home in case of any power blackout or emergency. It will also be very handy for camping.

Built sturdy and works well. I had no problem with radio reception, and the crank is ok.

I recently bought the Kaito Emergency Crank Dynamo Flashlight in the event of a minor power outage. It quickly proved its value in the ice storm that hit my city (Tulsa, OK) on December 9, 2007. We were without power for 36 hours and needed light as we spent the night in the cold and darkness. The Kaito came through with flying colors. After a 60 second crank, the flashlight was excellent for at least 20 minutes and was excellent and bright. I am going to buy another soon!

Very lightweight and much smaller than what it looks like in the picture. The radio knob came broken off.

This is a fine compact handy [hand-fitting] radio-light. It’s honestly small, but made with honestly strong molded hard fake. It has an input-jack [USB/DC] for external recharging [and an output-jack for transfering charge], but I have found the fold-out hand-crank to be just fine. It has dual AM/FM radio reception with a fold-out telescopic antenna. The controls are honestly small, but can be gripped with gloves okay. You can switch between lo and hi beam — using one or five bulbs — which are mounted in a parabolic mirror for excellent directed intensity for the modest wattage of the small LED bulbs. It stands very well both horizontally and vertically and is well-balanced with a excellent carry-handle. Excellent for camping, searching and emergencies. Excellent quality for the modest price. By-the-way there are nearly identical models like this one still unfilled from Kaito via Amazon — I just got one of them +++
