If I could rate this 0 I would. I loved this clock until the initially Sunday in March when we switched to daylight savings time. I can’t get the atomic clock to turn off using the switch on the back so it keeps resetting to ordinary time. I have to set my alarm for 5:00 am to make sure I get up at 6:00. Of course since I didn’t learn this problem until it was too late to return it so I am stuck with a $40+ piece of junk.

This is my second Homedics alarm clock in one year and certainly my last. This one only last about three months. The outdoor temperature was never accurate. I even tested it with the sensor sitting aptly next to the clock for a day and it was way off. Finally, a simple power outage caused the projector to bite the dust. A couple other minor complaints: the projector is too bright and the snooze button is abstractedly hard to feel when you’re trying not to wake up.
Update: I’ve been using the alarm as a backup but it has completely quit working. The alarm simply does not go off.

Owned several homedics products all with poor quality. This alarm clock worked Ok for two days then became erratic on time and now will not set alarm. This company is hopeless. Will never buy another product from this company, but I really don’t reckon they care.

I have owned the clock for about a year now and I am not satisfied. Many people have many design flaws the one that bother me the most is how the atomic clock works. The atomic clock feature appealed to me because we loss our power regularly. Unfortunately, the setting for which time zone you are in is electronic rather than a switch so when the power goes out, the clock loses the setting. Once power is returned, the clock resets itself to the incorrect time zone – useless! In addition my children regularly press the buttons and since the manual clock setting buttons are front and center, the kids change the time. Once the time is set manually, the atomic clock gathering is twisted off. Very frustrating!
