I haven’t had the chance to use it yet as the whip is broken. I’m hoping I can either get a replacement whip or just get my money back. This is certainly a low-cost product, but I knew that when I paid for it. I’ll leave another review when I use it, or if I choose to send it back.

I bought the VP-100 from another site for a very reasonable price. It was a replacement for my Vapor Bros. vaporizer when the heating element finally wore out. The VP-100 is a classic model of “you get what you pay for” – it is functional, but it is very hard to determine the right temperature to vape rather than smoke. You pack the herb in the female and attach it to the male component on the box. The problem is that you are tilting it downward to make the connection so the herb spills toward the heating element, causing it to combust so you are smoking rather than vaping. I quick-fixed this by inserting another, smaller screen on top of the herb to keep it from scattering into the heating element, but this is certainly a design flaw. Also, it is tough to determine at exactly what temperature to vaporize. The limited instruction sheet said 365 which I found to be way too high, causing the herb to burn. Another source from the internet recommended 350 – again too high. Through trial and error, I found 310 to be about aptly. Also, another article I read mentioned that these units are designed in China and it is unclear what components have been used to place together the unit inside – in other words, you don’t know if you are inadvertently inhaling toxins from questionable, low-cost parts. Ceramic heating fundamentals are the way to go. American products are also held to a higher quality standards. My regret is that I focused too much on price and did not do my homework on quality vaporizers in advance. Incidentally, if I had bought it at the Amazon price, I would have felt much more ripped off.
