Somewhat noisy for a silent mist, and it just blows air around the room, not a cool mist humidifier. Filter last about 2 weeks, and replacements cost about $5.99
Filter sits in the water, so eventuality turns green/brown, and displaces a fowl odor.
Didn’t really notice much difference.
Save your $$$, and buy a fan, and a cool mist humidifier.

I bought this product about 3 months ago and I am more than pleased. During the winter, sleeping with the heater on at night, my children would suffer from dry sinsus. From the initially night I used this humidifier I noticed a drastic difference in their breathing. I could tell instantly the change in the room once I twisted it on – with very large bedrooms (or rooms) I suggest you place the humidifier in the general area where you will be sleeping (not accross the room) in order to be more effective. DO NOT place the productGraco 1.5 Gallon Cool Mist Humidifier too close to walls or furniture. If you have to sleep in TOTAL silence, this product may not be for you, but if you like a small colorless noise, this product is fantastic! I bought another one for my master bedroom for the colorless noise AND the extra benifit of having a humidifier.

Okay, so it’s not a super humidifier, but it does a fantastic job and it looks a lot surpass than most other humidifiers. I live in CO where the weather is really, really dry and these things are a MUST. One draw back is that you need to replace the filter every month or so. I should probably change it more regularly, but I can only seem to find the replacement filters online.

As other reviewers have noted, the filter sits in a shallow tray of water. Well it’s nearly impracticable to take out that tray without water spilling all over. And I’ve had a few instances where the tank isn’t seated exactly aptly and all the water leaks out. It is also quite noisy, excellent for colorless noise effects but annoying with a baby monitor since it masks the sounds of baby.

As initially-time parents of twins, we were looking for a simple and low-priced humidifier. What we bought instead was this poorly engineered and consequently perilous product. Nearly every time we placed the tank on the base, water leaked out of the back of the unit. Trust me, 1.5 gallons is a lot of water when it leaks out all over your carpet. In our case, the water leaked out far enough to reach the extension cord powering the unit. The initially night, I found the puddle of water with my foot during a late night feeding and I could have been electrocuted! We tried every which way to make sure the tank was securely sealed, but finally gave up.
I wish I had read some reviews before I bought this product. It is beyond me that huge name stores like Babies-r-Us and WalMart would carry such a perilous product!
