This is a fantastic sanitizer! We have one that has to be filled with water and place in microwave and germ guardian.
We’ve been owing them for 2 months. We used the microwaveable only once-too much fuss about water and cleaning. Germ guardian is a life saver-I use it several times a day to sterilize bottles, nipples, pacifiers, pump parts, toys. It’s GREAT. Simple to clean as well. Just rinse the container with soap and water once in a while and that’s it:) Saves you time-use this time to bond with your baby!!! Like it! P.S. the only minus is that the container is small. And don’t place there musical toys or teethers with water inside!

So you wait 15-20 minutes and it isn’t that “huge” but you don’t have to boil, boil, boil and get dry hands due to the constant washing of your nipples, breast pump items, etc.
After reading these reviews, I’m amused by the attitude of entitlement so common with these negative reviews. I don’t know why people expect an manufacturing sized heat sterilizer for $50. If you are willing to spend hundreds if not upwards of a thousand for a sickbay sized heat sterilizer, then okay, go get one– this is predestined to fit in your kitchen for your small rubber ducky and small nipples/binkies. I just started pumping a few days ago and it was driving me crazy having to wash all manually then stressing about whether I washed the items sufficiently, then boiling. It took me much longer than 30 minutes to get things sterilized so that I felt comfortable. So as a back up, I have the dr. brown’s microwave sterilizer for times when I only have under 10 minutes to spare (but then my parts are still wet) and now I have this sterilizer. It works for me!
People, seriously, $50 and you’re complaining about the size and time it takes? For me, this is a time saver!
My only concern was whether this sterilizer was, indeed, effective. It if does sterilize well, which seems to be the case (after some research), then it’s an incredible buy and well worth the $50.
PS — I don’t reckon this item is “too loud”. In fact, I like the fact that this item produces VERY effective colorless noise for my colicky one. It sounds like the vent in your bathroom but not as loud. I’ve twisted it on when I don’t need to sterilize just to silent down my crying baby!

I have two complains: 1. size – does it worth to pay $50 to disinfect only pacifiers and small items? It doesn’t fit regular size bottles, breaspump fine points and other essential items I need to disinfect several times a day. 2. Read product manual: DO NOT PLACE WET ITEMS INSIDE – this means, I have to WASH all items initially, then wait approx. 1 hour until they get dry, then another 30 minutes for sanitizing – too time consuming to me.

I like the fact that this uses dry heat so you can place plush items in it as well as hard. It’s not huge, & the only down side, is the prongs that stick up in the container. They can make it a small hard to fit things in sometimes. But overall, I like it! It is extremely low maintenance because all you do is plug it in & press the button to start. It stops on it’s own. It’s very handy for all of persons small baby items, including nipples, bottles & breast pump accessories. I would recommend it to anyone.

Hi, I am a working pumping and supplementing mom. Needless to say I go through a lot of bottles and pump parts. I like this unit and have been using it many times a day since day 1. I read some of the reviews on here and I’m bowled over how many moms are worried about only being able to fit a few things in at a time. Yes, it’s small, but all of my bottles and such don’t have to be cleaned at the same time. What I do is I just rinse my pump parts and bottles when I’m done using them, using a pot brush and water, no soap, place what will fit in the sanitizer, press the button, and go do something else for 30 min. And I do place the items in wet, and have never had a problem with it. After 30 minutes I come back and place the next load in, simple peasy, till all’s done. I save a ton of time because I don’t have to wash with soap, or dry, or worry about when I’m going to run the dishwasher next. It has really made my life simpler.
Oh, and Medela pool bottles and pump parts fit just fine. I can get 4 pool bottles in it at the same time. I can get 2 breastshields plus one more 4oz pot in at the same time. Of course, my LO only drinks 4oz at a time, so we only use the small bottles. The larger 8-10oz bottles you can only fit in one at a time, so that might be hard for some. But it works fantastic for me and I like it.
