Due to a muscle disease, I started sleeping each night, all night, with an ice pack applied to my head/neck area. As such, I have be converted into the expert of use under tough situation. I like the medium (this one is the large pictured) packed with ice. It usually lasts packed with ice for 8-12 hours for several months. The new trend is to cloth-like covered ice packs which truly do not hold up as well; some leaking surrounded by two days. It has be converted into nearly impracticable for me to find this rubber-like kind with greater patience. I vastly recommend this type, not the cloth-feel type, although nearly no one will place it through the rigors I do.
