Silver Ion Antimicrobial Head Sickbay Equipment for Home
The new TAT-20000C Temporal Artery Thermometer features the added protection of an antimicrobial head that destroys detrimental bacteria, mold, mildew and fungi. The thermometer head is manufactured from a material that is fully impregnated with silver ions that are constantly released at the surface to ruin the microbes.
Directions:
Remove protective cap before use. Be sure lens is clean. If not, clean with cotton swab dipped in alcohol and let dry. Hold the thermometer as shown.
Gently position the probe flush (flat) on the center of the forehead, midway between the eyebrow and the hairline. Press and hold the SCAN button.

This is the initially type of Temporal Artery thermometer that i bought, so i can’t compare it to other models. From what i have used it, it works well although i can see where the temperature can easily change if you don’t keep in direct contact with the skin (it starts reading the room temperature and averaging it in). I have also noticed its much simpler to take your own temperature (you can feel the direct contact on your skin) then someone elses.
Would recommend for a quick temperature guide for older childern and adults.
Would not recommend for small children as it seems very hard to ensure you are getting an accurate temperature by maintaining skin contact throughout.

Seeing similar devices in hospitals and doctor’s offices and having children at home I wanted to have a device that was accurate. I took mine to the doctor’s office and double checked my readings, as I took my son’s temp, against the nurses’ readings. Each time they were exactly the same. Bravo, I am very pleased. It does take some practice in the “wand” waving, but practice does make perfect.

this thing gives a quick reading and quick. a small advice, do it twice (it takes like five seconds). if you lift it off the skin or press the button before you touch the skin it can mess up the reading. it is worth it to be sure. a small bummed that there isn’t a shutoff for the beeping. maybe my kid is just to light of a sleeper but she wakes up every time i check her. other than that it works incredible. wish i had got one sooner.

This is a fantastic thought. Very simple to use on kids and adults. Most kids will not sit and lay still to get a excellent reading with the ancient thermometers.

This is so quick they won’t even know thier temperature has been taken until after it is done. Stealthy like a ninja. You can take your child, or spouses, temp while they sleep without waking them up.
