Used the arm protector for the 4 weeks that my son (2.5 years ancient) needed to be in his full-arm cast. Overall, we liked it. It was a bit long for him, but it didn’t hamper its gathering. On a couple of occasions a small water may have seeped into the protector, but not enough to dampen or hurt the cast. If my son tugged at it or if he leaned up against the side of the tub, I can see how water may enter the protector. Initially, the protector was challenging to place on and you could tell that it was on tight, though my son was never overly in discomfort. After the initially week, it loosened up enough that putting it on and taking it off was simple without compromising the seal. I cannot comment about how it would gathering for longer than 4 weeks. It worked equally well while he showered or bathed in the tub. It certainly wouldn’t work so fantastic for swimming or being submerged.
