This seat is very simple to use. Also, because it does not fasten to anything, it can be lifted off for cleaning or for someone who does not wish to use it. Afterward, it can very easily be placed back on. It is surprisingly sturdy and does not slide around with the small rubber stops stuck to the bottom. I would recommend it for anyone who wants or needs something that’s simple to use, or not use. An added bonus is that it is simple on the knees (not having to bend so far to sit) so might be useful for someone who has knee tribulations as well as other mobility issues.

I had my left knee replaced Jan 5, 2010, my initially nite home form the sickbay I went in to use the potty, I still was not steady on my feet. I promptly fell off the toilet and wet all over myself, what a mess. I really believe that for persons not steady you really need arm support to help you up and down from the potty.
Hysterically I called a excellent friend, and she promptly sent her husband over with a portable potty with arms. Now after a month this potty is fine, I am more steady on my feet. I wish someone had told me this before I ordered this one.

I rently had Total Knee Replacement and found it hard to use the restrom. I was told by my doctor to try a raised toilet seat.
I ordered the Duro-Med Deluxe Raised Toilet seat and fell in like with it.
I can use the restroom and get up with a strain or pain to my knee. Please try this product…you will like it.
