I’ve had my Pulmomate for a few years, and I crank it up whenever I get an exacerbation of my asthma with thick mucus or get bronchitis/flu/pneumonia. I always keep nebulizer meds at home (doc is amenable), so having a dependable nebulizer is vital.
Pretty much, you just make sure the filter is clean (simple to replace), have a clean cup/mask attachment handy (keep plenty of the disposable ones on hand or at least a couple of the reusables, as my experience is that these things you can’t have enough of), add your tablets into the cup and turn on. Presto, nicely aerosolized med for your pulmonary needs. Granted, noisy, but I’ve never had a non-noisy nebulizer and this one is a bit less noisy than my ancient contraption it replaced.
I do find this price here high. I got mine for closer to fifty-something bucks about 3 years ago, and it’s out there in medical supply providers for the sixties (some fifties) and even sevcenties. Eighty-something is high. Shop around.
But I have not been disappointed by this product.
