MEDIHONEY Honeycolloid Dressing Active Leptospermum Honey content – 80% Features Include: Two versions: Glue and Non-glue. The glue version is occlusive like a traditional hydrocolloid, having a thin film backing and glue border. The non-glue version is not occlusive, and requires a lesser dressing to hold in place. Both versions absorb light to moderate amounts of exudates. The honeycolloid pad will form a gel as it warms up with body temperature and as it comes into contact with wound fluid. Usage suggestions: The glue version is an ideal dressing for lightly draining. Stage II and III Difficulty Ulcers, as well as Skin Tears that can be managed with an glue dressing. The non-glue version can be used similarly to an alginate or a hydrocolloid paste to either cover or fill a partial-to-full thickness wound.
