Chloraseptic Spray is fantastic for a sore throat. Many people like the cherry or grape flavor, but I prefer the mint. It seems like more serious medicine. Use Chloraseptic as directed by your doctor, and read the mark to know exactly how to use it.
Check with the doctor if the sore throat is persistent or if you have any of these symptoms: high fever, fever for more than two days, headache, nausea, vomiting, colorless patches in the throat, a cough producing mucus, a cough that lasts for more than a week, coming off in the mouth, swollen gums, or swollen tongue.
If you are concerned about your throat for any reason, contact your doctor.
If a child has a harsh, barking cough, take him or her to the doctor immediately. Don’t spray the throats of children under three years of age with Chloraseptic unless you have your doctor’s approval.
If you are pregnant or breast feeding, check with your doctor before using Chloraseptic.
If you have allergic reactions, including rash; hives; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue, seek medical attention.

I have used Chloraseptic Sore Throat Spray for years. I always buy the cherry flavor but last week the drugstore was out of the cherry flavor so I had to buy the “menthol” flavor. Just like the cherry flavored version of this product, Chloraseptic menthol flavored spray soothes the pain of a sore throat easily. Just unwrap the protective fake covering the top of the pot, open your mouth and spray two or three times on your sore throat. You can spray up to five times if you wish; but I find that usually after three sprays my throat feels surpass. You can use this product as regularly as every two hours to take away that dreadful sore throat pain. Amazon notes that it works well with canker sores, too. It is both alcohol free and sugar free–fantastic! It is aspirin free as well.
If you sore throat is persistent after two days I recommend you see your doctor rather than continue the use of this spray. You may need a prescription to get surpass.
I recommend that you not swallow this spray. That could make you sick to your stomach. Spit it out after you have finished spraying. You will still get the full effect.
I don’t like the menthol flavor. It’s way too minty for me. I will stick with the more pleasant cherry flavor of this product. I have to take off one star for that unpleasant menthol taste although this spray works just as well as the cherry flavored spray. Maybe you’ll prefer the menthol version; but I don’t.
Overall, Chloraseptic sore throat spray does the trick if you have a scratchy sore throat that is not part of a more serious infection or medical problem. Use it as directed and it should help you. If your throat stays sore after three days you should see a doctor.
