I am not sure what the target consumer base is for this product. I bought it for our guest bathroom, which has an oversized shower stall, for my brother’s visit. My brother lost both his legs, and I wanted something where he did not have to sit on the floor of the shower. Unfortunately, this chair sits a small too high and lacks the stability necessary for him to climb into it, and we do not have shower hand rails to help him. So, I tried using it in one of the our bathrooms that have a tub, but it is too huge for a ordinary sized tub. In the end I had to return the product. All, I can figure is this is for someone to take a shower who can stand, but doesn’t want to. It is too risky to use for a self who is infirmed or disabled.

The Carex Universal Bath Bench was certainly a excellent buy for us. My husband broke his heel and cannot shower permanent up, so I ordered the bench and it does the job. We have a typically sized tub for a home built in the 70’s and the bench fits quite well. It’s VERY sturdy with a wide, comfy seat. Suited our needs perfectly. I also ordered a cast protector from Amazon at the same time, and I vastly recommend the bench and the protector to make life simpler for someone confined to a leg cast.

The Bath Tub Bench arrived in Excellent Time. Am pleased in that this bench is made of fake and does not cause rust spots in the tub, which our before bench did. Also liked the Honest Price. JIm
