have not used it yet for real since i broke my arm before surgery but i did try it on my leg without a cast. i am sure it would work well and is well made. the part that makes the seal is so tight that it is uncomfortable. my skin might be more sensitive than others. i will make the opening larger when i do use it.

The medical seal uses a rubber type diaphragm with a “donut” hole for your foot/leg to slid thru to keep your leg/foot dry. It provides a very tight seal, but I find it hard to slide my bandaged foot thru this very strong elastic diaphram. I do not reckon you could slide a cast thru this easily. It keeps my leg & foot dry in the shower. It works. Just wish it was simpler to slide over my foot.

I’ve used this item for the last 2 weeks after a foot surgery. Has worked fantastic. My foot has stayed completely dry. I have the one that goes just above the knee. It fits tight, but not painfully so.
I agree with the other self who said pull it up as far as you can so that it is as tight of a fit as possible.

After 1 week, it tore and so I ordered another one from a different company. I found it hard to get up over my cast and it tearing mean’t I had to revert back to washups and not a shower.
Was very disappointed in this product because of it tearing so if you are gonna by one, select another one from a different makes. This one sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!

It did work while I had a cast on my lower leg due to a broken ankle. It wasnt the simplest thing to get on or off and before I could figure out how to do it simpler I finished up making a gap between the fake and the end part that really forms the seal. It still functioned though I just had to keep water from hitting it in the area of the tear. The one thing that does happen is that moisture forms inside while you take a hot shower-bath. I didnt have to wear the cast too long but if you were to use this with a cast long term that kind of moisture seems to me like it would start to make a problem with the cast or the skin in the cast…but thats just a guess. But overall it did its job and made life simpler so it was a worthwhile buy.
