I have to be in a cast for five weeks and ordered this to use for showering. It does the job, but is not comfortable. I later tried the “sport” type and liked it much surpass.
The large, rigid ring at the top of this cover makes it quite unwieldy and awkward. Also, I don’t reckon it’s made for average or larger adults. I’m a size 16 lady and the rubber seal at the top was unbearably tight at the top of my arm. It completely cut off my circulation and was extremely painful. I remedied this by enlarging the opening with scissors, which made it somewhat bearable.
The sport style is much more comfortable though.

CON: too tight, awkward, unwieldy

I had one of these for an ankle cast 10 or 15 years ago, so when I broke my hand recently I knew what to order. Don’t screw around with the kind that wrap around, or by all accounts work with suction. I tried persons last time and they sucked. The diaphram on these cast guards are simple and very effective. Goes on simple and comes off simple, and just plain works. Sturdy enough to last the length of time you’ll have a cast, and reasonably priced. Don’t torture yourself. Splurge on one of these. It will make your life much more tolerable while you have the cast.
