We ordered the grab bar for my mother-in-law to make her feel more comfortable when she comes to our house. She has a “handicap approved” bathroom at home and it is hard if not impracticable for her when she goes out to use a bathroom without grab bars. We have large, charming tile and a wall close to the toilet, so the bar worked perfectly. My husband set it on an angle the morning she came to our house. He had tested it a week before – amazed that it held his weight with no problem – but we took it down per the instructions to set a new grip when needed.
She was so thrilled and pleased. She had come for her birthday and though she thanked us for her gifts, she REALLY gave us a huge thank you for the bar. I reckon it eased her mind to have that added security and that is priceless to us!

Very sturdy construction with large suction cups. I installed this a month ago for my mother in law. I still can’t budge it. The telescope is nice because you can easily make it fit without having a suction cup thwart a grout line. Not low-cost but worth it.

As we have older visiting relatives, we bought this medium size bar, as well as a smaller one of this same brand, for use in our stand-up shower, and they have been superb. Our shower walls are marble, and these bars adhere so well to this surface; they are simple to install, and simple to remove and store. A word of caution: the suction cups on these items are too huge to be of use in, for model, a block tile that is smaller than the cups, and they will not hold. But, for us and our guests, these bars have provided confidence and security, and has really reduced our concerns for some of our aged guests.

This grab bar provides the safety needed without having to drill holes or ruin tiles. It’s portable and dependable. I would vastly recommend to anyone. Large tiles are a must for a stuck-up gripping surface. Do not use if you have very small wall tiles.

This seems like a fantastic tool for elderly people in the shower. My shower tile has a slight texture to it, so the bar did not hold up for more than a minute. If my 81 year ancient mother had showered with the bar in place, it could have injured her if it fell off. It is quite heavy. Wish we could have used it but had to return it. A safety hazard for us instead of a helpful tool.
