Hi: I have a Braun Exacttemp Thermoscan 6022. Have had it for over two years. I can take my temperture one minute and then a minute later and I get two different temps, same happens from ear to ear. Can vary as much as 2 degrees. Maybe I need an newer version.

Ever hear about the free razor, because the razor blades are so expensive? That’s this product. I loved it until I ran out of the ‘hygienic’ lens covers. The thermometer won’t operate without them (it checks to see if it has one), and they cost 20 cents each, or about $8 for 40.
When you consider the manufacturing cost of the lens covers has got to be around 1/100 of a cent (it is just a small piece of booster-molded fake, this is one of the largest markups ever.
So if you want a thermometer that expenditure 20 cents each time you use it, this could be for you.
