This the so called bed guard did NOT do
The only way it remained on the bed is by using string to tie it securely around the bed frame
The bits that keep it under the mattress were no thicker than a wire coat hanger and only went less than a third under the mattress. Even though the bolts were tightened it remained loose
Thus without tying it fell off as I tried to get into bed
Even with tying it was a fake sense of security
What we did is place two chairs up against it, which were themselves up against the wall, even with me on the mattress the rail went masively
Unless you like giving money away to strangers, choose a different rail
