Albustix® is a firm fake strip to which is affixed a reagent area that tests for protein in urine. Test consequences may provide information on kidney gathering.
The reagent test area on Albustix is ready to use upon removal from the pot and the entire reagent strip is disposable. No additional laboratory equipment is necessary for testing. The directions must be followed exactly. The reagent strips must be kept in the pot with the cap tightly closed to maintain reagent reactivity. To take optimal consequences, it is necessary to use fresh, well-mixed, uncentrifuged urine.
