I have an extra thick mattress (17″) so this did not hold the covers high enough for me. I had foot surgery – three broken toes, plates, and a pin and I wanted the covers completely off my foot, but this really did not take the covers high enough and I finished up sleeping with my foot out of the covers.

I have foot arthritis that makes sleep hard and this really helps. Keeping heavy blankets off top of feet prevents toe pain and also lessens difficulty on heels. You might want to keep a small pair of pliers nearby if your blankets/bedding are heavy. I have found that just trying to tighten the screws by hand is not always enough to keep product from sliding down under the weight of the bedding. I am very pleased with this product, especially for the price.

Bought one last year and another for my aunt this year. Have tribulations with plantar fasciitis and am 56 yrs. It has been just the things to keep from wearing the “boot” persons who have this problem know well. I even travel with it now.

I bought this product as heavy quilts/bedspreads/blankets hurt my toes when I am on my back. I bought two, one for my side of the bed, and one for my husband’s side of the bed. I am glad I did, as he likes it. Some reviewers rated this lower because they said that the item did not hold the bedding up all night. I used a pair of pliers to tighten the wing nuts down, as I could not get them tight enough to hold our blanket and quilt up when I tightened it by hand only. Once tightened properly, it works very well. I set it up 3-months ago, and have even folded the quilt back on top of it during hot nights, and they have not slipped down at all. Using the pliers for tightening, this is a very simple product to set up. But, although the product is perfect for us, there are some fundamentals about the product that may cause it to not be aptly for you. This support will only work well with a mattress that is a ordinary height. If your mattress is higher than the ordinary size, this will make the space between the mattress and the top of the support less, and in my opinion the space would not be large enough, even for someone with small feet. Another caution is that if you are someone that likes your bed to always look clean and pretty, I don’t reckon you would like this item at all. It is right that you can collapse the support flat during the day, but this involves folding back the covers at the foot of the bed so that you can unscrew the support to lower it (remember I used pliers to tighten), then you have to tuck and charming the covers at the foot of the bed for the normal look. What a lot of bother! We just leave it in place all the time. It gives your bed an unusual look, but we don’t care. You might, and if you would care, reckon about the bother to lower it, and question yourself if you could live with that on a daily basis.

fantastic thought but it needs to be taller to benefit higher pad top mattresses. It is too small so instead of making a tent effect the bar gets in the way of the foot. It would work fantastic if it were taller with a wider oval area to creat a larger tent area.
