3M Tegaderm Transparent Film Dressing Original Frame Style – 4″ x 4-3/4″ 3M Tegaderm Transparent Film Dressing is a transparent film dressing used to cover and reliable I.V. sites to protect at-risk skin, or as a primary or lesser dressing over acute wounds, surgical sites, and chronic wounds. Unfilled in a variety of sizes and shapes. Tegaderm Film has a “frame” and “initially aid” delivery system that makes placement quick and simple. Breathable film provides a bacterial and viral barrier to outside contaminants. 3M offers two, unique, different transparent glue dressing systems (ordinary and HP), giving the clinician a choice for patients with sensitive skin or a need for increased holding power in the presence of moisture. Laboratory testing has proven Tegaderm and Tegaderm HP dressings provide a viral barrier (HIV-1 and HBV) while the dressings remain intact without leakage. Product Benefits: Usefulness allows you to use one product for many applications. Breathable film allows moisture vapor and oxygen exchange. For I.V. sites, water vapor and oxygen are easily exchanged to permit normal functioning of the skin. Provides a moist environment for enhanced wound healing, as viscous wound exudate is more slowly evaporated through the breathable film. Unique, thin film conforms to the body and flexes with the skin for greater patient comfort. Sterile, waterproof dressing provides a bacterial and viral barrier to outside contaminants and allows the patient to shower. The dressings are unfilled in a variety of sizes and shapes to address both wound and I.V. applications. Frame delivery system allow maximum usefulness as it can be applied quickly and easily. The hydrophilic nature of Tegaderm Film glue makes it adherent and useful in sensitive skin situations. Transparent dressings allow simple monitoring of wounds without the need to remove dressing.

my sister had surgery 2 months ago. she is alergic to adhesives and medical tapes. she can only use tegaderm dressings. unfortunately her wound is not healing and she needs to have her dressing changed 3 times a day. the dressings are $15 for 4 dressings in stores. thankfully i found these on amazon, 50 pcs for under $40.
