Product Description
These are the original, OEM expandable “accordian” style, factory recommended replacement filters for the Aprilaire/Space-Gard Model 5000 Air Cleaner. MERV 10 rated.
The filters ship like a collapsed accordian and are expanded into a fake frame surrounded by the air cleaner cabinet. The filter is snapped into the fake frame and held in place with existing pleat spacers. Assembly instructions are printed on the product carton.

The Aprilaire filters seem to do the job. I dont know how to test to make sure that the air is really “pure” but I have to replace the filters from time to time so it must be doing something. There is not much one can say about this product.

The honeycomb shape of this filter seems like it would work well to catch small particles. So far I have been very pleased with this filter.

this seems to work a lot surpass than the cardboard thin filters. it takes awhile to complete what used to be a simple filter swap.
