These Bamboo back scratchers are cut from mature bamboo, and are very strong and sturdy. The handle is a comfortable hand filling 1 1/2″ wide, not a skinny stick like you’ll find on other back scratchers. The handles are stiff, so the back scratcher won’t bend away from your back when you’re trying to scratch hard. Each is hand made, no two are identical. Bamboo is a fantastic material. Not only is it strong and durable, but since it is technically a type of grass, it is also very simple to grow and harvest in an environmentally responsible style. The “2 – 17.5″ Bamboo Back Scratcher Backscratcher” (kind of redundant, but whatever), is sturdy and well crafted – cut, sanded, laminated, with a small red tie at the end to hang on a hook. I bought this particular set of 2 so that one could be at my office and one at my home. It’s not everyday you get an itch you can’t reach, but when you do, this is the perfect thing to have around. I disagree with the other reviewer who said “the scratching end is so charming and flat it doesn’t help scratch at all”. It seems to work fine. Would I buy it again? Heck yeah. And at $5 bucks a pop – can you really go incorrect?

Waste of money… a stick would nearly be surpass. The scratching end is so charming and flat it doesn’t help scratch at all! Very disappointed.

Some may reckon a back scratcher is lame. Persons folks can go on suffering. You’ll like these things. I’m a huge guy and always had vex scratching an itch in a place on my back I couldn’t reach. Grabbing for my backscratcher solves all that irritation. They are worth every cent. And, when you are in a thinking mood, you can use them as a head scratcher!
